No player comes close to the resonating impact Salah has in his home country of Egypt, with the whole nation coming to a standstill whenever he takes to the pitch.
And after scoring his 32nd goal of the season in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Newcastle some heartwarming news emerged.
According to news outlet KingFut.com, Salah has paid for a young fan’s life saving bone marrow transplant surgery.

Abdelrahman Mahmoud suffers from cancer and has been receiving treatment at the 57357 hospital.
The child’s father made a plea to Egyptian footballers so his son could fulfil a dream of meeting his heroes – and Salah has delivered.
The father told DMC Sport: “We’ve reached someone who lives in a town close to the player’s village and then managed to talk to the player’s father who told him about my son’s case.
“He contacted us and talked to Abdelrahman on the phone since he is not in Egypt now and told him that he will be visiting him once he’s back.”

“Salah is in regular contact with Abdelrahman, his support had a positive effect on the child’s health.”
It’s not the only heartwarming gesture Salah has made this season either after he sent a Liverpool shirt to another young Egyptian fan who had gone viral for wearing a handmade jersey.
