Dream Team FC
Neymar has spent a grand total of 14 minutes on the ground at this World Cup

This World Cup has been all about the unexpected, hasn’t it?

Reigning champions Germany went out in the group stage, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo waved goodbye to the tournament in the round of 16 and England won a freaking penalty shootout.

But one constant has been the impressive play-acting of a certain Brazilian superstar by the name of Neymar.

Naturally, the eyes of the world have been on Brazil’s talisman, as many of us believe he’s one of the best players in the world right now and one of the most exciting at the World Cup.

In fact, he’s so good, that many of us fully expected the PSG forward to lead the South American’s to their sixth World Cup title.

Unfortunately, Neymar’s World Cup hasn’t really been about his skill, goals (he’s notched two so far) or even his dodgy haircuts.

Nope, most of us have been grumbling about his habit of diving and rolling around on the floor like a pleb.

In fact, according to Swiss outlet RTS Sports, Neymar has spent a total of 14 minutes of the World Cup rolling around on the floor.

That’s right, the Swiss broadcasters – who were no doubt irked by his antics after playing Brazil in their opening clash of Group E – decided to time just how long the world’s most expensive player has spent rolling about.

Those 14 minutes include a massive five minutes and 30 seconds on the floor against Mexico when Miguel Layun stood on his ankle, as well as three minutes and 40 seconds against Switzerland.

In fairness, he’s been the most-fouled player at the World Cup so far, suffering 23 fouls in Brazil’s four games.

But still, he’s making a lot of it, isn’t he?
